Sourdough bread is key for making the Cheddar-like notes pop, so be sure to use a punchy rustic loaf in this recipe. Lastly, use the best vegan butter you can get to give these cheesy croutons the richness they (and you) deserve.
10 to 12 ounces (about 7 to 8 cups roughly diced) day-old sourdough bread
3 tablespoons lemon juice
4 teaspoons white miso
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ cup melted vegan butter
